Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF)
Platelet Rich Fibrin is used in dental procedures to greatly improve wound healing. The PRF contains growth factors, white blood cells and platelets that stimulate cellular recruitment, angiogenesis and proliferation.
We use a PRF specific horizontal centrifuge that provides the ideal PRF solution. The advantages of a horizontal centrifuge include:
- Up to 4 times more platelets and leukocytes
- Higher growth factor release when compared to a fixed angle centrifuge
- Better horizontal layer separation between PRF clot and the red blood cells
- More even distribution of the regenerative cells throughout the PRF clot
